Moleskine Pages- Language
His pathetic need always made me feel slightly sick. A sweaty red face announced his intentions...just another language I'd picked up without ever meaning to. My pretending not to understand made him work harder and made me smile.

Mind Your Own Bussiness
He paid her with his seed when he won at cards. She hid her revulsion not wanting to hurt him. She'd rather die childless than feel his swimmers move inside her.

Moleskine Pages- ' Rroids
I don't think this needs a lot of explanation, so I'll just leave you with the image. With only four pages remaining on my current Moleskine, I am seriously considering an alternative sketchbook to work in. I simply can't get my head round paying £14 per book, it's extortion!

Moleskine Pages - White China
Her mouth was once a gleaming side-board full of white china. Over time, help stole her legs from under her. Blood coloured her shame. Her heart grew in her womb and was born as her children who beat in her chest, allowing life to go on and flowers to grow even in winter.

Moleskine Pages- A Fear Of Snakes
I never had a fear of snakes, but he didn't know that. I kept my weaknesses to myself. He thought he knew me.

Moleskine Pages- I Read the News
Their mother; Their first home was scheduled for demolition. She was packed with explosives to drown out the noise of her cries. She was a church and they had lost their faith.

Moleskine Pages- Dammit!
Personally I don't appreciate being rescued, especially when I know I need help, I am perverse that way.

Moleskine Pages- His Weight
Even the most extraordinary events become mundane through constant exposure. Our minds are programmed to accept matters and over time we becomes numb and inured. I don't think this needs any further explanation.

Moleskine Pages- Slap
He slapped her with great tenderness and proprietorial concern. In certain light his affection for her appeared distorted, overdone and odd. Everything he said and did was motivated by the need to keep her guessing. Life with him was never boring.

Moleskine Pages- The Power Of Love
All they needed to reconstitute him was a jug of blessed water, a set of clear instructions, and an unshakeable belief in the power of love.

Moleskine Pages- Fear Of Apples
Men are born with an atavistic fear of apples. They were loaded grenades capable of causing catastrophe and collateral damage. Men believe every woman comes ready armed.

Moleskine Pages - I Stand Still
"I sand still and silent while the world turns tricks around me. You pull out your measuring tape; your weapon of choice. It's effects are never fatal, you die inch by inch. I never measure up. I learned how to please you despite my shortcomings."

RCA Secrets Postcard No 1
This is part of my annual contribution to the Royal College of Art Secrets Exhibition which raises money for students. The cards are displayed anonymously and the buyer only finds out the identity of the artist after he has paid for it. The price is a flat rate of £45 per postcard and a limit of 4 postcards per buyer. I would love to hear from whoever bought my cards, and I hope they are not too disappointed that they weren't by an internationally known name !

Moleskine Pages - Penis Envy, Penis contempt.
'The first adam you will recall, gave birth to Eve. A woman cut out of his side: for the second process was reversed. And that one was without pride.'

Close Yer Eyes = Moleskine Art
An ambiguous take on male V. female relationships. In any partnership, happy or miserable, there are continuous power struggles. Traditionally, women used mental manipulation while men were more physical. We all have endless stories to illustrate this. I shall spare you my little homilies this once, and allow you to come up with your own anecdotes. By all means feel free to share.

She Hated Gardening - Moleskine Art
This image is a portrait of a couple I am related to by blood. Tbeir relationship as dramatic and compelling as an episode of Eastenders. They knew how to work each other, and they took full advantage of this knowledgr. He'd boast about how much control he had over 'his woman', and would regale anyone who's listen how he's worked women out. To him they were no longer a mystery. Meanwhile, his loving wife would spill all his intimate secrets to her girlfriends. As a child I knew when the women gathered together their conversation changed. I'd sneak around trying to look inconspicuous as I picked up crumbs of juicy gossip, not understanding much of it till years later. And what gossip! No holds barred, Xrated would be a conservative description. As an adult I realise that a lot of the marriages that were being discussed were arranged ones. Without the love component, these women felt no personal loyalty to their 'stranger' husbands. When you love someone, you are interested in presenting them in the best light, 'big them up' so to speak. Without love, it is a cold transaction. The women exacted small acts of revenge by betraying personal details, by puncturing their men's carefully crafted image. Since then I've always been a sucker for gossip....now where is my heat magazine?

He Was A Perfect Fit - Moleskine Art
When we boil down our lives and relationships to their bare bones, we come up with pretty uncomfortable truths. Through the millennia, men and women have fashioned roles for themselves that they cling to even when they outgrow them. The tendency to pervert and abuse each each other has no bounds. But on the whole we rub along from day to day, swinging from drama to ennui just to keep life interesting and give us the impetus to wake up in the morning. Is this too reductive a summary? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
