Breastfeeding Is Mandatory
This is a stand alone piece on illustration board.I had to crop the image as it wouldn't fit into my humble A4 scanner. If anyone has a question about the content please ask, I am always happy to argue about art matters!

Moleskine Pages - The Shadow Of Death
' They could never know how close they walked to the shadow of death. A breath in any direction would give it all away.'

Golf Jumper, Tattoo, person
This is a pencil painting that I did as a commission. It is one of my larger pieces being 30" by 24". I did have the foresight to have it scanned professionally so that signed prints are available. The word at the top says 'tattooist.'

Moleskine Diary pages Feb 2012 - Yamama
I do so much out of a sense of obligation, but do I have the right to resent that? What of those who are doing things for me out of the same sense of duty? Surely society would cease to exist if we all chose to do only that which is personally enriching and pleasurable?

Moleskine Diary pages Feb 9th 2012 We Eat Our Children
I am always seeking to unpick the complex fabric of family life. And I am always surprised by just how strong the taboos are against certain aspects. You never look too deep behind a smother's love, don't question who the love is helping. You accept a 'normal' seeming family at face value. When I was small, and to an extent even now I find it hard to accept that most families are dysfunctional. I so badly wanted the perfect life I saw in advertising and squeaky clean sit-coms, I think I will never stop yearning for that.

Christmas Lucky Dip
A few odds and ends from my non-moleskine sketchbooks. Stuf that doesn't fit into a particular category.

Royal College Of Arts Secrets Exhibition 2011 - My Cards
The RCA Secrets show is an annual exhibition to benefit the Fine Art students at the school. Artists are invited to submit 3 postcard size original works that are exhibited anonymously. The postcards are signed on the back, and are only revealed once purchased and the sale is over. The public are attracted by the promise of snagging a Tracey Emin or a Grayson Perry for the paltry sum of £45. The vast majority of the 2900 works are by rising stars of the art world and RCA Alumni. This is my contribution for this year.

Moleskine Diary Pages 2011

| I can't seem to get away from the theme of familial dysfunction. Is there a family out there that does function? Maybe families group dynamics are meant to be unpleasant enough to force us out of the nest to find our own way, to eventually create our own pile of dysfunction and repeat the cycle. |
