Moleskine Pages- Connections

The connections grew tenuous with age. The universe yawned with studied disinterest while easch of us danced towards the exit. There was no music...the last few notes hung in the air...a pretty memory..a poignant miasma of a living world. The generations would continue into the greedy void but there would be no welcoming parade...no moving words to keep the stars shinning. The numbers grew less and less and the light slowly dimmed.

Moleskine Pages- Clean Up Your Own mess

The exorcism was about to begin. Nobody knew where the demons came from. They were born early one morning on a blue day. It was now a red letter day and time to move them on. Demons have an uncanny ability for spotting receptive hosts; they look for short memories and central heating.

Moleskine Pages- No Man's Land

She delivered him without medical assistance. She couldn't help it, he was helpless, hopeless and soft in the middle. He was happy to float in her orbit. He had faith she'd always save him.

Moleskine pages - Three Black Clouds

She bought her life with a handful of blood red rubies. She paid her masters. But there was no currency that would secure her place in the queue.

Moleskine Pages - Stardust

They said it would rain, I didn't expect to drown. They read me fairy tales, I believed them. I live in the shadows of the tree of life waiting to be struck by lightening, I am stardust.

Moleskine Pages- Songbirds

The idea of songbirds singing out of tune was hard to bear. I could see they were trying. Their obvious effort was both touching and shameful. The one thing they were born to do! I am not a songbird and my purpose is as yet undetermined.

Moleskine pages- St Simon

The guest list was ever in a state of flux. It grew in direct sunlight and shrank in a hot wash. Auditions attracted the good and the bad, the sane and the mad, everyon's mum and dad. Can you hear my song ma?

Moleskine Pages - Runny Emotions

" She fed his ego with all manner of flattery and sweet meats. In return he filled up her empty spaces and soaked up her runny emotions. They pooled into a large pond here fishes absorbed her salty dampness with gusto."

Moleskine Pages - I Was Once Brand New

' I grew attached to my tree, and my ropes became a comfort. The longer I stood still the calmer I became. I feast on my doubts and will myself to bloom without water. I was once brand new.'

Moleskine Paes - We Were Lost

' The oxygen we breathed was provided by the flapping bird wings. They made sure we knew it. It was hard to tell if the nurturing was selfish or altruistic. Once the birds had grown hands it didn't matter, we were lost...gone!'

Moleskine Pages - The Naughty Corner

'Their communication was rarely if ever verbal. He tuned her into his own frequency. While I lived in the naughty corner.      The animals only ever spoke English.'

Royal College Of Arts Secrets Exhibition 2011 - My Cards

The RCA Secrets show is an annual exhibition to benefit the Fine Art students at the school. Artists are invited to submit 3 postcard size original works that are exhibited anonymously. The postcards are signed on the back, and are only revealed once purchased and the sale is over. The public are attracted by the promise of snagging a Tracey Emin or a Grayson Perry for the paltry sum of £45. The vast majority of the 2900 works are by rising stars of the art world and RCA Alumni. This is my contribution for this year.

Moleskine Diary Pages Nov 2011 - Crying Was A Viable Sport

A possible competitor for Pop Idol? Is there a way that hasn't been used to attain fame? This is the obvious meaning but what is the mother doing here? Why can't she stay the hell out of my work?

Moleskine Diary pages Oct 2011

The bird calls out what sounds like "Where's my sister?" in Arabic. It does it persistently , in a sad, plaintive manner that gave me the creeps. On the walk back from school in Baghdad, I'd hear a whole flock of them asking " Where's my sister?". It sounded so sad. In my world birds have insight and a sacred knowledge that we humans are not privy to.
