She Would Live Underwater - Moleskine Art

I am quite intuitive. I have honed my people reading skills over decades, so I know myself pretty well. And yet, when told I can't do something I completely ignore what my inner voice is telling me, and my five year old belligerent self would take the bait. I'll brave pain, discomfort and unhappiness just to prove a point nobody cared about anyway. These small victories are like a battery charge for my psyche. Little secret triumphs at an inordinate personal cost are at once perverse and utterly human.

Moleskine Diary pages Jan 2012 I Don't Care

This page evolved and changed over a couple of days because I had problems with the composition. Where the figure of the young woman stands now was a giant flying fish with a baby riding shotgun looking very fierce. But it looked all wrong, too many focal points. So I resorted to my favourite page saver, I glued a fresh piece of white paper over the offending image and started again.I use this method often to redo sections I am unhappy with.
