These images are part of a series i did for my graduation show. Someone described them as 8 second still animations. I thought of them more as stories like most of my output. Luckily I sold most of them at the show and I even had to make a few more in the series as individual commissions, now that doesn't happen very often to people like me!
Jess Collins, (1923- 2004) took up art in earnest after leaving his job at the Hanford Atomic Energy project. He enrolled in The California School Of Art and began to produce the work you see here. You can find more about him on Wikipedia so I don't need to go into great depth here. Jess's work ties into my current interest ( and Lucy's) in the Horror Vacui.
