'She abhorred violence, and cringed at the "Look at me" displays of attention seeking petulance. But if the voices in her head and pictures in her mind took human form, she would cheerfully drown them.

' They looked forward to their feast with a greedy hot- blooded anticipation. They planned the menu and selected their prey with great are and benevolence. The chosen cuts were honoured offerings. To be consumed by the elite is a privilege bestowed on few, if only they knew...The rich shall inherit the earth and heaven.

'She never made a secret of the fact that she had a vested interest in hanging around. She had ideas, thoughts and flights of fancy that needed expression. She wanted a conduit. I wanted her to shut the fuck up.'

We waited impatiently for them to come back. We tended those eggs as if they were made in China of inferior materials by underpaid, overworked slaves. When the eggs hatch our lives can begin again. We will wake up fresh and rested, happy and hopeful. we are waiting to be haunted...waiting for ghosts.

Their mother; Their first home was scheduled for demolition. She was packed with explosives to drown out the noise of her cries. She was a church and they had lost their faith.
