Moleskine pages - The Alien Who Survived The Landing

I was obsessed with Aliens as a child: fearful and excited at the same time. I'd watch the stars for hours imagining that I could see traffic coming towards Earth. I came to the conclusion that I could befriend the newcomers and draft them into my army, where we would fight all the horrible grown-ups that were making my life difficult. Sadly, they never came, and I learnt to rescue myself!

Moleskine - Sack Of Shit

Someone (who shall remain nameless, my daughter Lucy) called me this in an effort to get my attention, I do know she was only teasing. I liked the sound of it so I made a record of it.

Moleskine pages - Scrotal Haven

This page resulted from me comparing my Cesarean scar with my beloved's very recent hernia scar. So I started to imagine a man carrying a baby to term in his scrotal sack, wouldn't that be a hoot!

Moleskine pages - Three Gospels

We all see things differently. We view situations differently, so that three people will tell three different incidents.

Moleskine pages - Menu

Everyone has an opinion on what's best for you. And they all seem to know better what you need and how you should go about it, don't we get sick of that? Especially it seems people who have messed up their own lives and believe that gives them the credentials and experience to know how yours can be fixed.

Moleskine pages - The Silent Welcome

Another morbid one I'm afraid! This was a reaction to a horrible accident that claimed the lives of an entire family. But what if seconds before the accident he family accepted an invitation from a stranger to go to the other side. Maybe they made the choice and were spared the pain. Wishful thinking I know! Do they know they are now ghosts?

Moleskine pages - A Regular Dream

The hardest thing to do is to confront one's own shortcomings. It is so easy to project my character flaws on others and blame circumstances but there comes a time where I have to own my cowardice and accept that my life turned out the way it did because I was too fearful of change, am I saying too much? Am I the only one who feels this way?

Moleskine pages - Smoke Got In Her Eyes

There are certain things we cling onto just to remain, or feel we are still human. And in the midst of the almost unendurable we put one foot ahead of the other and carry on. Not because we are brave or heroic, but because we are hard wired to do so. Nature has decreed that we must continue, and so we do!

Moleskine pages - Bad Luck Comes In Threes

This was the result of watching late night crime channels! Women who kill their children is something I'll never understand, and those who kill three or four is just beyond words, but it comes from a different place to where men kill their offspring.
